Financial Planning Packages

We provide two introductory packages to help clients get started on their pathway to wealth. Of course, if you don’t fit comfortably into these categories, we are happy to design a tailored package just for you.

You are best suited to our Foundation Service Package if you:

  • are committed to financial success
  • own a home or are saving a deposit
  • can save money each week
  • have less than $100,000 in assets (not including your home)
  • have a combined family income of between $70k and $250k
  • have more than 10 years until retirement.

Your are best suited to our Financial Discovery Service if you:

  • are committed to financial success
  • are looking to develop a comprehensive financial strategy
  • are looking for sound financial advice and are happy to implement the strategies, actions and investments from that advice
  • have established a business or investment asset base and need advice to grow and protect these assets
  • want to be proactive about reducing tax and directing these tax savings towards building your wealth and improving your lifestyle
  • have a business or earn a high income
  • have less than 10 years until retirement or are already retired.

HOW IT WORKS

While everyone’s financial needs are different, our advice is generally provided in two stages.

Stage 1: Initial Planning & Recommendations

Our initial planning is usually conducted over two to three meetings, but this may vary depending on your financial situation. During the first meeting, we gather information about your current financial position, talk about your goals and uncover the key financial concerns and gaps that you have. There is no charge for this meeting.

At our second meeting, we will present you with a high-level overview of your current financial position. We’ll discuss this with you in detail, including the opportunities, threats and possible strategies that you could implement to achieve your goals. Together, we’ll agree on the most suitable strategies and investments. If you decide you would like us to proceed with these strategies and investments, we would then ask you to sign a Letter of Engagement.

During the third meeting, your financial plan is presented to you with comprehensive written recommendations (Statement of Advice). If you’re happy to proceed, paperwork will be provided and signed at that meeting.

The upfront fee is a one-off charge that can be paid by cheque, direct debit, credit card, or deducted from your investments. You won’t pay any entry or exit fees from the investment funds we recommend and we won’t receive any upfront commission from these funds. Your Statement of Advice will provide details of all fees and charges in writing, for your records.

Stage 2: Ongoing Review, Planning & Recommendations

Our ongoing services provide you with the expert guidance and implementation that will bring your financial strategy to life. It also substantially reduces the cost of accessing and maintaining our investment and financial products. These services include:

  • professional research by our investment committee and expert recommendations for your portfolio
  • monitoring the shares and managed funds in your portfolio and recommending adjustments where necessary
  • providing a full valuation of your portfolio, as well as relevant news and information on a regular basis
  • an annual review of your insurance policies, to make sure you are protected as your lifestyle and financial situation changes over time
  • monitoring income cashflow from your investments, to determine if targets are being met
  • annual meetings to discuss your progress, as well as a dedicated EQ Wealth financial adviser to support you throughout the year
  • a Statement of Advice will full details of all fees and charges in writing, for your records.
